Amrut Rye Single Malt

Amrut Rye Single Malt is the first Indian whiskey made 100% from rye sourced from Europe. This unique whiskey thus places the Amrut distillery in the very exclusive circle of distilleries producing Rye Single Malt. Aged for 5 years in American oak barrels, it proves to be very fruity and delicate. On the nose, floral notes (rose, peony, orchid) mingle with orchard fruit notes (apples, quinces, pears). The palate is more intense, oscillating between fruit and mild spices. The long and refreshing finish brings forth subtle lemony notes. A whiskey with finesse that contrasts somewhat with the profile of single malts usually offered by the distillery. Definitely worth a try!
